Lofoten

Langsam neigt sich alles dem Ende und wir haben uns nochmal auf eine letzte große Abschiedsreise aufgemacht. Und da es uns im Oktober, als wir den Trip buchten, in Karlstad einfach noch viel zu warm war, viel unsere Wahl auf den ganz hohen Norden. Erster Anlaufpunkt waren da die Lofoten, die uns alles von vielen Seiten empfohlen worden. Und ich kann schonmal sagen: es hat sich gelohnt!

Soon my time in Sweden will come to an end. So we decided to have a last big trip and since we felt way to warm in Karlstad, we wanted to go all the way up north to the Lofoten.


Den ersten Tag verbrachten wir hauptsächlich im Auto, aber dennoch konnten wir unterwegs ein paar schöne Aussichten genießen. Ein Himmelsschauspiel war ein ganz besonderes und auch ziemlich seltenes: Polare Stratosphärenwolken. 

The first day we mainly spent in the car, but we still had a lot of nice views of the beautiful landscape. One thing we saw, was particularly special and rare: polar stratospheric clouds.

Am nächsten Tag ging es morgen nach Å. Ja, das ist wirklich eine Stadt, die auch wirklich so heißt und sie hat wahrscheinlich den kürzesten Ortsnamen der Welt. Dort gab es steile Klippen, raues Meer und hohe Berge zu bestaunen.

The next day we went to Å and yes, that's what the town is actually called. The steep cliffs, rough sea and high mountains were very impressive and we enjoyed our time there.

Dann ging es weiter nach Reine, eine der bekanntesten Städte auf den Lofoten. Die Stadt, bzw. das Dörfchen, ist hauptsächlich für die kleinen roten Hütten bekannt, die den ganzen Stadtkern ausmachen. 

Next stop was Reine, one of the more well-known towns in this area. It is known for the small red cabins, that you can find everywhere.

Auf dem Weg zwischen den Stationen sind wir natürlich auch immer wieder ausgestiegen und haben ganze Fotosessions hingelegt. Es war oft auch einfach wirklich zu schön um bloß dran vorbeizufahren. 

Between the different towns, we had to stop so many times, since the landscape was simply too beautiful to just drive by. 



Am dritten und letzten Tag auf den Lofoten gab es dann nochmal ein Highlight zu bestaunen. Von dem Haukland Beach hatte ich irgendwann mal in einem anderen Blog gelesen und er hat uns echt umgehauen. Es war wirklich faszinierend, denn Strand und Berge mit Schnee hat man wirklich selten auf einem Bild. Auch hier wurde natürlich eine umfassende Fotosession hingelegt.

The last day, we had a real highlight planned, which was the Haukland Beach. It was so beautiful that we actually spent a couple of hours there. I was absolutely fascinated by the combination of mountains and this nice beach, which I hadn't seen before.

Der letzte Stopp auf dem Rückweg war dann noch ein anderer Strand, an dem sich ganz verrückte Menschen doch tatsächlich ins Wasser zum Surfen wagten. Dazu hätten mich sicher keine zehn Pferde gebracht.

The last stop was another beach, we some people were actually crazy enough to go surfing. 

Alles in Allem, war es auf den Lofoten wirklich rundum schön und ich bin schon ganz fest entschlossen im Polarsommer nochmal wiederkommen und die Lofoten in einem ganz anderen Licht zu erleben und das im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. 

The Lofoten really are a beatiful place, there is so much to do and see and I am already sure, that I will come back, preferably in summer.
